One of Malta's Best Tattoo Shops
With more than a decade of experience in tattoo artistry and a lifelong passion for art and travel, Scotty Massa has brought his craft right to the heart of Birkirkara with MTSC.
Our Malta tattoo studio is like no other. You’ll find a laid-back and welcoming vibe that makes customers want to come and hang out, leaving with a great tattoo and great memories as well.
We may be located in Birkirkara, but we’re proud to offer high-quality tattoos to visitors from St. Julian’s to St. Paul’s Bay.
Feel at Home in Our Shop
Getting a tattoo can be a nerve-wracking experience, especially for first-timers. But the mellow atmosphere at the MTSC is something to come back for. Whenever you’re inside our studio, we go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
Scotty has created MTSC to be more than just a tattoo shop, but instead a full-on social club and breeding ground for creative ideas. If you’re unsure about your tattoo style or how it’s done, one of our Malta tattoo artists will guide you through the entire process, from start to finish.
Whether you’re a local, an expat, or just passing through Malta, we invite you to come by and consult with one of us about making your dream tattoo a reality.
From the moment you walk into the second you sit down, the shop tells tales of Scotty’s travels, experiences and influences, with guests being treated to a cold refreshment and the chance to browse some merchandise, and the opportunity to play the piano, before being led into the booth at the back.

Owner & Founding Artist
Scotty Massa has been tattooing professionally for over 10 years. Having travelled the world honing his craft, he’s now known as one of the best tattoo artists in Malta.
For Scotty, tattoos are more than just needles and ink. He cares deeply about his customers’ relationships with their tattoos and the experience they have in the shop. His specialty is in traditional tattoos, but he’s also highly-skilled in other styles like blackwork, decorative, Japanese, touch-ups, cover-ups, and portraits.
In 2019, Scotty hand-built Massa Tattoo Social Club with some help from his father and a close friend. Now he considers the studio his creative ‘Mecca’ that showcases memories of his travel destinations and favorite locations.

How To Get Your Tattoo
1. Consultation
Every tattoo starts with a creative consultation. We’ll sit down with you, brainstorm ideas, and help you figure out what tattoo you want, how big it should be, and where it should go.
2. Design
First we'll sketch out your idea and make sure you can visualize it on your body. Then we'll create a digital representation and make sure the tattoo and placement are perfect.
3. Get Tatooed
Once you're happy with the design, we'll prep you for the tattoo and get started. If you ever feel uncomfortable during the process, you can take as many breaks as you want.
